APIS

Apis refers to the Absolute individual who has polarised his sentience and his power consciously so that he can actually know what he can do and do what he knows. A being that knows what he can do and actually do what he knows is a divine being, even if he is incarnate in a body. The terms Absolute and Sentient and Power are examined and their etymology revealed. The problems facing mankind are discussed especially the relationship between the individual being and the absolute. This is a problem all finite beings face and Eugene shows how the relationship may be made more conscious. A variety of symbols and quotes from different scriptures are used to illustrate this universal process.

CYCLIC LAW

Cyclic Law is the big law. We are not training for time, we are training for eternity, we are working through time for the timeless for the absolutely permanent. We have got work to do as long as we have a physical body. If when we finish up on our deathbed we’ve accumulated enough directive forces in us to carry us into the next world with the right direction that is all we ought to hope for. Human birth is hard to get. To get into a human body and complete your evolution is very very great good fortune to ignore the opportunity is foolishness. To climb out of the dominion of cyclic law we must practice non-identification with it and to aid in this we must assert the opposite phase of the cycle. The aim is to be able to elevate or depress oneself at will in order to stay on the median line and not be subject to cyclic law. The first step is to think that cyclic law really exists and it is quite a good thing to stop it. The technique of stopping it is stating the opposite. To see summer in terms of winter is to see summer properly.

APPLYING WHAT WE KNOW

The inertia of time-sequence thinking is nothing but a habit acquired in time. You think in a certain way because you are brought up in a certain type of society. Human beings condition each other as children and this inertia is an externally acquired habit. The problem is how do we get to initiative if we have fallen into a state of inertia. Most of the major religions have a story about a fall, the fall is quite a simple proposition. It consists in this; that a free intelligence makes a form or an idea and then identifies itself with the form and forgets that it made the form. This illustrates the fall from initiative to inertia. This talk uses the symbology of the cross to further make this clear. The failure of people with religious beliefs to apply their beliefs has been the clash between mental inertia and eternal spiritual truth. The reverberations of this clash affect us all as individuals and as members of society. This talk also has many very interesting references to  symbols from a variety of major religions and points to a hidden unity within all religions.

FATHERHOOD

The pytri, father in ancient Hindu and the patér of the Greeks and the pater of well-educated English boys are all the same. The word means put-power-differences, simply to differentiate power. Christ said, “Call no man Father on earth, you have one Father in Heaven”. Heaven is the place two powers meet and press. You have to believe that God who made the Universe, is your Father because if you don’t believe it, the generative power in you will not be his. The Spirit “lusts against the flesh and the flesh lusts against the Spirit” There is a war in your body between egotism and its plans and real knowledge that we are in possession of the Infinite Power of God has given us to develop our talents. We have to choose. Whether you commit yourself to the finite or the infinite you will learn something worth learning. You are a father when you consciously, reflexively generate and put something into being that was not there before and you are a Master of Creative imagination when you know that you are able to imagine, create. We live in a field of Infinite power. This power is imagination. We have been conditioned by education into externalization to destroy our imaginative power, because if we are really imaginative and creative, we cannot be controlled from outside.
